5 Days Rwanda Highland Gorilla Safari

01 Kigali - Nyungwe National park

Depart from you hotel after breakfast to Nyungwe Forest National Park from Kigali. En-route you will break at Nyanza King’s palace in Butare town, visit Rwanda National Museum in Huye and Murambi Genocide Memorial Museum. After a long drive, you will enjoy dinner and overnight the hotel/lodge.

Day 02 Nyungwe Park Chimps

Early morning breakfast; assemble for briefing on the code of conduct when tracking chimpanzees, Enjoy lunch and an optional canopy walk with colobus monkeys and other primates in sight. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 03 Nyungwe - Volcanoes National park

After breakfast, transfer to the natural habitat of the famous Mountain Gorillas-Volcanoes National Park. Arrive early evening for dinner and an overnight at the hotel .

Day 04 Mountain Gorilla Trekking

Early breakfast, and proceed to the Gorilla trek headquarters for a brief on code of conduct. Gorilla trekking may take from 2 to 7 hours depending on the undertaking of the various gorilla families. Enjoy your one hour in their presence in total silence, Photography is allowed. Return to your lodge for lunch. Late afternoon leisurely go on a community walk to the local village. Dinner & overnight at your Hotel.

Day 05 Return to Kigali

After breakfast, you have the option to golden monkey tracking or hike to Dian Fossey grave. Return for lunch and departure to Kigali by flight.
